When you go back, we'll take a hike up to the sugar bush in front of my place. I've found the remenants of the old sugar shack. Tons of old gears, steel, and such. Difficult lighting though. The last two pictures I posted are from up there.

Thanks for your in-depth comment. I'm glad I'm not a mechanic because I would get the wrong parts. I appreciate what you said about old things. I'm also a metal abstract artist and use many such old things in my sculptures. Deterioration fasinates me, and I like to re-present it to the world, either in a photo or a piece of art work.

I like the abstract look yet the flow of the water to ground the shot. Cool image process. Be well, Stan

Nicely done Jack. Only one problem. These are crank shafts instead of cam shafts. The black coiled springs are from the front suspension of a vehicle. Great focus and color. I always look at something like this and think that at one time these parts were new and shiney and waiting to be used. Now they're just junk in a heap. Keep on showing these moments of the past. Looks like a candidate for a parking ticket. Blends right in with the woods. Nice diffused light in the canopy of trees.
Be well, Stan.

Thanks for the comment. What's nice is when you come upon something like this, you have the wonderful opportunity to take many shots. The subject is not moving.

Thanks Guy for your comment. You are right, the best times are those spent with friends, savouring all that life has to offer, and that includes photo excursions.

Jack -

As I said in my prior note to you, I love this image.

The dead, brown car with brownish rust against the living, green vegetation and brown earth create a beautiful visual analogy as well as a great image.

Great work...mlm
