Hi Stan- very kind of you to spend some time working on this image. This shot was taken right at the bottom of a valley so it was a very lush & dark place- had wanted to conserve that somewhat in the photo. I know it's a bit too dark in the right hand foreground- i had done some basic select/brightness work on it but had only worked on it as one layer. I've just finished doing a photo editing course through a local adult education course so i know a bit more now about curves, levels & layers etc. I'll have another go on this when i get time, meanwhile could you run me through what you did with this??

Lovely rainforest scene and good job on the exposure of the water, Joanna! I would darken things up a bit at the top left - to keep the eye from escaping. Nice work!
