Even the thumbnail tells ya he ain't no rookie Brian. He's a guy who's confident he knows what he's doing. Great portrait and one I'm sure he's proud of.

Looks interesting, good sharp photo but also interesting series. Hope they dont put their skill to work breaking into parked cars. Are you involved in the instruction or the rookie class?

James, thanks for the comment.

Yes, some of the Hurst tools can be used by women. This is the smaller cutting tool that she is using to cut the "A" post on the car. The big moma Hurst tool, "Jaws-Of-Life" is diffucult for one man to use and we usually put two people on it when in action.

The Hurst spreaders have gotten a lot lighter over the years to.

Beautiful capture Brian. One of York Counties Finest (In more ways then one working out with the jaws of life. I like it, I never realized that the tool could be handled by a women. Thanks for showing me this. As they say, you learn something new every day.

Dottie, I was actually off duty that day. I try to follow the rookie class through their fire academy for at least an hour or two for each evolution.

You can see my entire folder of the current fire academy at:

Brian, I'm glad you told me it was a rookie class, because I was going to be mighty upset if you got to hang out taking photos, instead of pulling hose & raising ladders. Actually I was going to ask how you got away with it. Lol Nice composite. Dottie
