Nice one Jon. Great observation about the chickens. I never noticed that before. :) Another useless trivia answer. What flower looks the most like a chicken hanging upside down? Andre

Good advice - it would be a nice set up for a portrait, for that matter (although in this case the leaves are backlit from the window; for most people that probably wouldn't provide adequate illumination).

An observation - from the front, Bleeding Heart flowers look a lot like chickens hung by their feet.

Hi Jon, Take note of that F stop and the distance between the window and plant. That DOF is perfect for this kind of shot. Andre

Thanks, Jim. That would be the hops vine I have growing along the west side of the house to try and shade it during hot weather. Not like we've had any of that on this, the coolest, driest spring in Saskatoon in recorded history.

Well it DID start to pour buckets just seconds after I got this shot. I'd been at a skateboard park just before this (with very minimal success, I might add) and was very glad I decided to give up and go back to my car before the rain hit.

This is perfect Jon. Grainy in more ways than one. :) The old mill looks very foreboding, like a scene from an old horror movie. A big lightning bolt would have been just too much drama ;) It really is a very attractive B&W image! Andre

Actually, I think that they were quite a bit farther apart than the image suggests. I was using my long lens at full zoom (600 mm equivalent) and there was quite a bit of foreshortening. So there may be no relationship at all.
