Great amount of drama in this shot. The wind, the sky, and the stance of the person clearly indicate that...

Great photo Ahmed. But I think it needs a bit of improvements, I attached the improved version here. Here is what I did:

- Straighten
- Crop
- Sharpen
- Contrast
- Dodging

I hope this helps I hope you're enjoying your vacation!

Beautiful! I like the soothing colors and motion in the water. The composition is great.

I used to live in Jeddah when I was young, but then moved to Riyadh. I'm now in Tampa, FL to get a degree.

I hope to see some more photos like this one You can view my photos here if you like:

Hi Hugo,

Great expression you've captured, it looks good in B&W. I'm not sure about the soft focus, was it intended? Although soft focus works in some cases, I don't see it working here, but thats just me

Cheers...

Hi Hugo,

I'm fine thanks, how about you?

I actually rotated it in PS. The main subject here is the minaret, not the bricks/road. So it didn't make sense to me to have the minaret upside-down, you know what I mean?

Thanks for the comment...

PS work included B&W conversion, Levels adjustment and Burning. Nothing was added to the photo.

Thanks for the comment...

Lovely scene, I really like the tones and color. Nice use of leading lines and reflections. I would have straightened it a little.

Thanks for the comment, I really appriciate it

Lovely contrasting colors. Very nice abstract quality to it. I wonder, how did it look rotated the other way around (so it wouldn't look like an obvious reflection)?

Thanks for the comment and fav! I really appriciate it...

I like the tonal range here. The blurryness fits the mood of the photo really well and emphasizes the motion. If this was my photo, I would have cropped it from the right and left some space on the left, as i'm not a big fan of centered compositions, but they do work for me sometimes, depending on the photo.

Very nice work, and thanks for the comment...

Hi Hugo,

I'm very busy these days with college, thats why i'm not active at the moment. But I stopped by to comment on this beautiful image while waiting for the instructor to start his computer. I really like the perspective, it shows the light spots as leading lines to the end of the souq. The curvature of the spot patters is really eye pleasing, I like how you captured that.

By the way, "Turn to Clear Vision" and "Between Red and Yellow" were displayed at my university's art gallery

Take care...

Wonderful detail on the central part and water drops. Beautiful colors and DOF too. I like the centered composition, it would also look good if it was off centered.

Well done...

Nice looking abstract and reflection. I like the treatment you gave it, in an abstract way. How did the original photo look?

In your words: But there is no special statement in the photo, which make the picture interesting. Even if the photo is abstract, it must have a statement, in order to remain exciting.

Beautiful composition, I like the centered placement of the rose on the book. Great use of exposure to illuminate the book. Did you try a red light? I think its tightly cropped from the top, maybe leaving some space at the top would have balanced the photo.

Well done, keep it up...

To me, the lighting and shadow are perfect. I like the tilt very much. The shallow DOF works well here, how does it look without any DOF? My only suggestion is to use a different background, like a fabric with some color and shine to it.

I would expect to see this in a magazine advertisement.

Well done...

Hi Hugo,

Great composition, I like the random placement of the CDs. I also like the tilt as it makes the photo more dynamic. Great lighting too, makes the glass stand out.

This is what I would have done:

- Put a black background, because there is a distracting element there, I think its a portion of the monitor?

- Use a glass that has no distracting decorations, or use a mug.

- Add a bottle to the composition.

Take care...

I like this one better because the emphasis is on the light post. I like how its light is bringing it out of the darkness.
