Wonderful shot here Dal !!! But somehow, I would rather not include the building on the right lower side, because I feel, IMHO, it somehow creates some distraction on the photograph..Have a nice day !!!

Excellent capture, Dal. No matter how right or wrong the cause, these always mark the sorrow and loss of a lot of people.

Thank you Daniel for your comment and bringing to my attention the correct name of the Cathedral.
I took quite a few photos in the 3 months I stayed in Ekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk, I am not sure of the names of them and I would welcome your help in this regard as I post them... Dal

Interesting capture of the Cathedral-on-the-Blood. Ekaterinburg certainly is a lovely city, providing some great locations for grabbing shots. The Stone Flower fountain, Plotinka, The Black Cross, Europe-Asia monument, and Peschanoye to name a few.

I hope while you were there you grabbed quite a few more images.

It looks unsharp to me and the sky is overexposed.

I lived in Japan for a few years, and have taking many photos of the palace...some great shotting opportunities.

You have a very nice shot here. Good colors and perspective. I think the figures in the lower right corner are a little distracting, might want to crop them out. Other than that, nice shot.

What I like most about this is how the boats almost appear to be male and female, cuddled up together sharing the peace. A slight boost of contrast and levels could make this really stand out. The ingredients are all there.

Dal,

I like the tone of the picture and the expression on this girl's face is wonderful. This has a 1930's feel to it that I find interesting. It's obvious that you put a lot of thought into this one.

Thank you Dmitry for your instructive comments and example. But I favour a softer and more delicate look of sepia, which is what I tried to achieve. The image was very underexposed and grainy to begin with.
Your B&W is very good but I find the lips are a little overpowering.
Cheers from down under and have a nice day... Dal

Good idea, but i think there is too much postwork. Maybe it would be better make the picture simply BW again and leave in color just eyes and lips? Take a look at example i've made. I made it too fast, and i was not accurate...
