Good with what you have to work with. If i was doing this shot i would....
Set it up on a plain white background, have one flash above the camera pointing down at the box, and one flash with a snoot behind pointing at the back of the box. Then after touch up the box, i can see creaces in urs and end tabby bits, make it very neat and tidy, buy a brand new (not been on display box)

Hi Dal. You have some great shots in your portfolio, I particularly like the portraits and surfings shots.
I'm sorry to say I don't think this one is quite up to the standard of the others. It seems a little dull and I wonder if the WB is slightly out.
I can see the humour in it though which I guess is why you posted it. Am I right in saying the male is on the left? ;-)
I think it would really have improved if both birds were in focus.

this one is better than "city lights" that i just commented on, but i think the same comment applies, go when you still have a little bit of daylight left to take advantage of better light. just to compare, and see if you like it. my hong kong cityscapes were all taken just as the sun went/was going down.

dal, rotate the image CCW a degree or two to straighten the horizon out, and try to go out when there's a little bit of daylight left. the colours for long exposures at night, in my opinion, seem to look better if you have the last vestige of daylight on your side. in particular for cityscapes.

dal, as joksa mentioned, next time, take a couple of steps back and get in more of the body. in particular the foot that is cut off and the little bit of hands at the bottom.
otherwise its nicely done.

It was taken from the sidewalk of the ocean baths using full zoom (about 320mm on the 200 taking the 1 to 1.6 into account) and cropped in PS... just a lucky one I guess

They are a colorful looking spider Alberto, but quite harmless despite their ferocious looks and I think they were the same type of spider that was sent on the space shuttle expedition that broke up on the re-entry a few years ago.

What a beautiful shot of the Opera House in Sidney. Never have been there....far away from where I live...The colors and lighting at night look wonderful.Congrats.

Hi Dal,
Very suprised to see that noone has yet commented on this sweet little girl!
I am not too taken with the hat/visor thing and I think the crop maybe a tiny bit to close- but that is just my personal taste.
However - i do very much like the grey/brown tones - and - I do like that her eyes are nice and clear with a nice catchlight hightlighting them.
Thank you for your comments on "Downtown" in my portfolio.
