Backfocussing is a term i picked up from dpreview.com; the camera focusses slightly short or behind the spot you think you focussed on.
I like your approach to photography, though you and miacael and gerard are WAY ahead of me!
Anxiously waiting for your next photo's,

Mark

Hi Tom,

What a magnificent shot! Never mind the rule of thirds; we wouldn't have seen the fascinating patterns and textures. The size of the place is indeed overwhelming, esp. for somebody from the Netherlands ;-)

Isn't it caused by backfocussing? I was told that all digital slr's have this problem, the professional ones even more than the prosumer camera's.

And what is the LAB method?

Regards, Mark

This is indeed an EXCELLENT shot Kostas. And with a 200 iso film, unbelievable! The f1.8 helps,of course ;-)
I always set my camera to 400 or 800 iso, f2.8, 1/30 to 1/60(i never use flash). Especially in clubs it's almost always too dark.

Regards, Mark

I like the framing, but the mike in front of her face distracts. Also the dark side of her face is just a bit too dark, i think.

A great photo with a "retro" feel to it. I would've liked a bit more shadows, though.

She is indeed very beautiful, and her eyes are incredible. That's why you didn't need to make them green. Pity. also, i would've either shown more, or less of her face.
Still a great portrait and one of my favorites.

Not bad, not bad...
But which band, which festival?
Was it 1/30 perhaps? Even then: with a 100 iso film at f/22?

Well, we don't have these kind of storms very often (moderate climate and all that). It did follow us at a very high speed.
When we stopped on the German border it overtook us, it had lost its sting, but still looked like this:
