good composition, but I have a suggestion, it would have been better if you position your camera a little bit left, the dark object would not distract the bird in the middle of the frame. anyway nice work.

nice and cuddly, would be nicer if it had an even, quiet background,or only the christmas tree as background

This is a beautifuo object and a very good shot.
When I read the comment by John, the first thing I thought was that a black background could eaily be made using PS and then I saw Elena's comment and she had the same idea. I agree, I like this image better with a dark background
Very nice work, Tanya!

something to really make the angel stand out would be to use some black fabric for a background...you can find cheap fabric remnants from wal-mart or such stores for no more than $2.00 USD. this will really make the edges of the wings stand out, bring attention to the angel rather than the wall, help the colors seem more vibrant, etc. another suggestion is to not use the on, camera flash for a shot like this. as you can see, the reflection of the light on the bottom of the dress is really quite a bit brighter than the angels face -- and that's quite distracting from the overall mood and beauty of the figurine. maybe try using just some lamps around the house at first, placing them around the figurine at different heights, angles, etc to fill in any shadows...this will help make the light not as harsh as it is from an on-camera flash, and also it will give off a warmer light. one more suggestion on how to emphasise light where you want it is to use a reflector. these can be pretty expensive, so what i do for now until i get more money is i use plain and simple aluminum foil and simply find ways to prop it up to reflect the light where i want it to go.

just some ideas i hope you find useful
