Another interesting picture. I like the colours and composition. The mood of slightly visible movement. If the yellow print on the shirt was not there, i would save it under my favorites.

Where ya been, Carl? Interesting perspective here....more focus and detail on that which one would normally not pay notice to......while you are out of focus, dark, and un-revealed. I think it says a lot about the mind of an artist; preferring to emphasize their vision rather than themselves. ...Brad

I read your bio and you?ve some strong points ,from your side.Your paint and drawing background must have teach you to be free in your creation,to reject details,face the the theme or idea of your work.Also,your art is not still,it is new ,any time you start a new paint.Paint must have give you a broad mind to easily find Art were it is,regardless on names or expression forms.The second good point is Francis Bacon. I share with you my devotion for him.I have seen most of his work,I collect documentation, he speaks a language I understand.Though, this has nothing to do with my pictures.I respect Ernesto Guevara, but I am not fighting in any "guerrilla".He has his own Art, I never could aproach.

Actually Brad, it did stink...and the really crappy part of that...after I brought it in and shot it...I made the mistake of breaking everything down (and giving the hoof back to the dog)before I pulled the images onto my comp. Due to a memory card glitch, only two images were readable, so I had to go chase the dog back down, wrestle the thing away from her, set everything back up, and stink up the room again. It was one of those days.

Hi Carl:
Looks like an articulated vertabrae after the scavangers have finished lunch. The toning and layer work elevates this from merely macrabre to very interesting. Nice one.
You asked about the texture in "Modigliani's Daughter." It was achieved by using the Overlay Blending mode in PS to superimpose a photo of surface abraisions on a mineral specimen. You can find a detailed account at http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2130388. --jim
