> is Birmingham were Black Sabbath are from?
Yup. Well spotted! There are plaques on every street corner, and special pies named after the man. Oddly, outside the main town centre area, nobody has heard of him.
This image reminds me more of Roy Wood though. When I do my laundry, I only use Super active Wizzo, as recommended.
Yeah!

They would kick me out the moment I started complaining about the food and the other things. Mind you, if you are a statuesque street Wogan, it is like being wheeled through an open-plan ice cream van by loyal purveyors of emissions by appointment.

As I remember, they were jumping around engaging me in discourse and stuff like that. I wish I could remember more but it was in 1986.

Looks like it, doesn't it? - Bu this is quite a vicious cat. You would be ill-advised to go near it if you intend to keep the use of your probosces.
> my last comment here was obviously too ribald, > so it didn't pass muster, obviously. Oh well.
Me oh my. Ribaldry is being pounced on more and more these days. It is symptomatic of the sinister tendency to permanently narrow the range of discourse. Mind you, it could be a technical issue.
Yeah!

Heh, you're still here! My, what a pleasant and dare I say surprise.
> glad to see you've made it back in one piece > from the rumblings and commotion going down
Not exactly one piece, but the pieces are dangling in a common direction, at least.
> remote hidden caves of Eastern Turkey that > will put the fundamental beliefs of the modern > world on it's ear
That sort of thing is actually much closer to home than one is led to believe. What are you up to in Turkey?
> (look for my interview with Larry King during > the next sweeps period)....
Take my advice: keep away! He will leave everyone with the impression that you are made of string and have no viable policies.

EXCELLENT shot Paul, glad to see you've made it back in one piece from the rumblings and commotion going down in the Tigris/Euphrates region (they say "The Hanging Gardens" are beautiful in that arabesque style of design) Oh well, back to deciphering newly found manuscripts discovered in the remote hidden caves of Eastern Turkey that will put the fundamental beliefs of the modern world on it's ear (look for my interview with Larry King during the next sweeps period).... In the mean time, my hats off to you, sir......

Jude!
> I immediately interpreted it as a protective > Dad, watching the process from nearby.
Yes, it was her father, someone I happen to have known for many years. Rather than being protective, he was desperately trying to find something purposeful to do while I was waffling on at him and his daughters, and introducing them to other players - anyone who happened to be passing by.
Then the two girls chased me round the football field. They seemed to think it was fun.
A month later, the self-proclaimed father grabbed me in front of the people in my group ("team" ffs) and said how he liked the photographs. The people in my team hurried away, not knowing how to cope with expressions of enthusiasm.
> I love the expression of the child in the > foreground...she's beautiful, in the way only > children can be.
Big old people can exude that look too, I find. They are the people you tend to want to talk to, but are too busy interacting with society to have time for such frolicking.
> I also love the sense of movement of the > child in the background and her impish > expression, as well as the extreme > perspective...it all works, and beautifully.
It is impish, oh yes.
I may have said all this before, but it is so long ago I forget...
Are you still here?
