The Tuscany landscape seems to be very scenic. As this image proves. I think it could use just a little more contrast though Luca... in my eyes anyway :)

decent photo yazeed. you might want to use the shadow/highlight function in PS just to brighten those shadows on the right a little bit.

Hi, thanks for the comment first of all.
Second, not sure if you've ever been to China, but the conditions you describe in your comment really don't exist here. I don't think I've seen a purple sky in more than four year in China... I've seen grey, brown, hazy, smoky, black, and on some occasions even a blue one. But no purple ones. I think the reasons for that are fairly obvious.
Further, the bridge only reopened early this year, so any photos taken before that time wouldn't have been much good as it was under scaffolding and other assorted construction materials.
The bridge is actually only about two hundred metres from my doorstep, so getting out there to take photos is no problem. But the conditions are usually the same from day to day.

Again, quite nice. I like it, and am a bit jealous as I'll miss these colours yet again. Hopefully next year I'll see them.

Gaetan, I think the image is great. The bridge leading up to the very colourful trees is a nice introduction.
Best wishes and Happy Thanksgiving.

Hi Andy. This was in July of this year. I spent three days in Da Zhai back then. In fact, i just got back from Longsheng and Xingping two days ago. Working on some of the images from those two places right now.
I think I should have some nice results to post soon, although a lot of shots didnt turn out as hoped. I'm trying to master the shadow/highlight tool on CS2 now (the karst hills around Xingping have a lot of shadows and I need to try lighten them somewhat).
The fall colours did/do look nice in the rice terraces.

Interesting historical image Wolf. Did you manage to visit the countryside of Yemen at all? I've seen some photos from that country that are amazing... would like to travel there myself sometime.

Wolf, it seems to have been some time since you've been in China. The good news is that many of the rural areas won't have changed too much in the past 20 years, so it's not too late (yet). The cities are a different story though.

Hi Gustavo.
This is a different style of portrait than we are used to seeing on here. Let me just say, nice work, and look forward to seeing more of it. New ideas are always welcome.

Alison, The buildings do look nice in the evening when they light them up, but I havent tried to photograph that yet.
As for the meaning of the architecture/design, I don't know. Hard to say and I don't think most of the people I know would have an answer either.

Alison, you really have to look hard these days for this type of architecture. It's disappearing faster than you can imagine. Many cities in China don't have any of it any longer.

Hi .B. This image was one of my first digital images, and at the time I really liked it (still do). But now I see how little I knew and how much I had to learn back then.
Thanks for the inspiring comment here.

I took a renewed interest in this type of image after reading the Da Vinci Code. I almost lost that interest after seeing the terrible movie that came after the book.
But back to this photo, very nicely done. It does have some sense of mystery about it. I like it.

Excellent shot Wolf (and historical as well since Pan-Am no longer exists). You dont see this perspective too often, especially today where it's almost forbidden to pull a camera out anywhere near an airplane.
