Katherine - thanks for the kind comments. The other two images are in my portfolio - for now at least. Learning to do digital image editing need not take a great deal of time - all at once...you do a little at a time and experiment - experiment - experiment

John Thomas: VERY CREATIVE IMAGE! This is beautifully rendered and the color and texture are very appealing. I need to be home sick for a month to learn more about ps! I will have to look at the others in this series but on this I would have liked to have the dragonfly more defined. It is more "hidden" in the color and texture than I would like as it should be prominent if that is the title of the photo. K

It's always gratifying to see photography being furthered like this. There are no limits, and with the software today, there are new (dare I say) "frontiers."

Thanks for the input. Actually I have several other shots, and tried a number of croppings of this one, but this is the only one that conveyed the absolute serenity of the scene that attracted me. The dynamic tension in the photo is created by the brightly lighted upper leaves and the absolute shadows and by the clearly delineated depth of the scene as communicated by the shades of green.

Beautiful crisp colors, and detail in the leaves. As far a scomposition goes, I would have liked to see the flower a little bit off center. Other than that this is a lovely photo.
