The shadow on the eye is too much indeed, but it's the scanning problem 
Of course this would not change the constrast, just make everything brighter a bit.

I also adore this kind of crop, and I did many attempts, even good succeeded.
In your shot I just find a bit to strong shadow, maybe you can work it with lower contrast. But this is just my taste.

Very nice portrait of a beautiful woman. Good composition, lighting and depth of field. The photo is a bit to soft and there is a blue color cast in the photo especially around the model's shoulders. Thank you very much for your comments on my "Wink of the EYE" photo Adrien. No I am not a pro, but an amateur that is taking his hobby very serious like you do and my profession is fitness trainer wich job I am doing with a lot of pleasure for almost 23 years now....Best regards Harry
