how does one get ahold of you? i have been watching your work for sometime now and i cannot seem to find a way to contact you directly. there is a exhibition at the fifty crows gallery on the 13th of november here in san francisco and your work is included. finally something to see in person..i am very interested in your documentary + toycamera work....especially toycamera work, its an inspiration.
thanks,

i just send the film out for developing (not alot of free time to do this myself) and the lab does a better job than i would anyhow. the only thing i am missing to dev. the film is a dust free dryer box....so that the negs dont get dust embedded in the emulsion after dev.
anyhow...i have the closet darkroom that works fine for dev prints as well...so as long as you have a medium format negative holder for your enlarger...your stoked!
go nuts.

clear sunny day it was...which made the image extremely frustrating to work with in the darkroom to have a product that wasnt washed out...alot of burning..and the final product looked dull...so a sepia tone bath warmed it up a little bit. it is looking a little dark online though. (my curse). thanks for the comments t.m.

i think your right, the more i look at it, the more the white stands out. the original attempt was to produce a dreamlike+old memory of a place...perhaps with other images against this one the idea would be enhanced, but by itself, it gets lost.

6x6...straight into the sun (behind the flag), so the darkroom was challenging to find the contrast! say your stuff on didgitalsucks, good stuff! thanks for the comments!

andreas,
thanks for all of the great comments for my images, and for the advice on the monitor gamma...ya, im pc, and it seems that the gamma is right on, but for some reason the transfer of the image exaggerates the darkness...
again, thank you...

it seems that most of my images are looking much darker on the site than they are on my own computer screen, and alot of the details are lost, my apologies...

beth + andreas, thanks for the comments. as for the holga...i am addicted...its a nice refreshing approach to photography, very liberating. although there are no guarantees of what is going to come out...sometimes there are problems with the tightness of the film roll as it advances, and when the film back opens and light exposes the loose roll, this image is the result. 75% of these types of conditions make the film worthless, but those 25% are very worthwhile...
