A dozen it is! They are certainly more interesting and dignified than their Western cousins. Thanks for showing this off.

Best of luck,

A mi, me gusta tambien la version "b&w." Es muy clasica y sin tiempo. Muy bonita.

Thanks, Larry. You're right, of course. This has been an interesting experiment since usually we're trying to improve the image rather than to degrade it. I will post just a few more. Let me know what you think . . .

¡Tener cuidado! El Año Nuevo siempre lleva a cabo muchos peligros para el hombre que bebe demasiado. (Gracias a mi diccionario inglés/español ;-)

A beautiful composition using the soft light and dark background superbly. And it is a gorgeous flower.
Felicitaciones!

And I quote:
"Maybe a little more washed out...might add to the effect???...it's quite excellent as is just a suggestion on something to try ."

Perspectiva maravillosa. Las plantas del desierto en el frente agregan un elemento interesante y eficaz a la composición.

Perspectiva inusual y interesante. Representación muy artística de un ejemplo fino de la arquitectura de la iglesia moderna.

Yeah, Roger, The cropping was not radical, just a bit more of the pavement and grass. I find the effects of sharpening to be a bit unpredictable--before and after saving and depending on the monitor. Still, I liked this a bit oversharp because of the subject. Glad to get your reaction . . .

A fine composition. And, yes, it does look infrared, especially with some of the leaves being rendered so near-white. On the other hand, the sky is not as dark as I would expect. My guess is that it is a b&w conversion done using Curves. (That will be neither my first mistaken guess, nor my last. ;-) Good job . . .
