Wow! You have been on it. This is a great study. The reflection magnifies and intensifies the color. Really pops . . .

Beauty. The silhouette is especially fine.

Maybe you will inspire a new fan, too. A kinds retro jackpot.

Sorry to have not been clear. The poster is for the Biennale, the world's largest and most influential exhibition of contemporary art, It attracted 600,000 visitors and official enries by 89 countries. It dominated life in Venice through November, 2019, until the awful flood.
Thank you for the comment.

Thank you so much. I had left the site well before its shutdown because of a strong disagreement with management. Now, that seems to be no longer an issue, but I'm stretched rather thin now with other commitments, and so it might be a while before I can really give Imageopolis another try. Thanks again.

Thanks for the kind words. Glad to be back on this site although my departure those years ago was not amicable. Hope new management is more congenial. ;-)

Glamorous and well posed. The background works well except for the distraction of the red blooms in the upper left corner.

Great shot of the butterfly. The finger is a perfectpedestal, adding scale and presence to the shot.

My dear Humayun
I have abandoned this site with much regret after frustrations with having comments blocked. For that reason, I cannot even mention the site I have since adopted in this message. If you like, contact me directly at foto-art@comcast.net, and I'll fill you in. Thanks very much for your comment. I appreciate your interest. I really miss many, many good friends I made on Usefilm and hope we can re-establish communications.
Best regards,
--George

Hello, Pankaj. I'm afraid New Jersey is almost 800 miles from Charleston, SC. I haven't been active on Usefilm for a while and have moved on to another site. I don't know if UF has a way to locate members by state, but there was an effort to make contacts like that shortly before I left. Perhaps the site administrator can be of soem help. Good luck--and have a good visit. --g

Super mystical and fun. You've done it again. I've moved on--like many others. You can contact me at foto-art@comcast.net for details. There are places whose names may not be spoken here. ;-)

Great shot, Dave. I know you had a wonderful visit and amassed a huge number of images. Unfortunately, I won't get back there this year for my regular fix, and so it's good to see that everything is OK there. If you drop me a note at my email address (foto-art@comcast.net), I'll fill you in on what's happening with me.

All the best,
--George

Yep, this is a real beauty. The mist is especially well-rendered--difficult effect to pull off, too. I love the effect but can't help wondering what a cooler toning color would do. Great stuff!

Thanks for the good close analysis, Omar. I know you're right about the technical elements of film (especially the antique) and digital. About the best we can hope for is an approximation, I guess. The eyeglasses, though, are not completely out of place, although they would have been rare for an ordinary soldier of the period. John Loreaux's observation about the haircut (of the guy in the right foreground) is right on, though. Good thing about your comment (and the others) is that it invites closer observation. That is a wonderful value of such an exercise. Thanks again. --g

Yes, every process seems to introduce some degradation of quality. Still, this one comes across beautifully on screen.

Good work . . .
