I like the smooth tonal effects and the cloudy look that ghosts the central subject. Really cool shot.

I really like this photo Patrick. The red color makes me think of the Martian landscape. Good Job

Yagmur, nice fill flash. Your model has a predatory look that leaves me thinking "less that pure" thoughts. I would love to see the same shot with her holding the cigarette with her right hand and just squatting there. Thanks

Halwah! The composition is both busy and pure at the same time. Quite an amazing photo Ahmad. I especially like the paperlike look of the tallest poppy. Exceptional capture.

Very Nice, I love the faces and the shallow depth of field. The, exposure, grain and composition are spot on imho. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks, she really has an affinity for cameras. I let her carry around an old Canon AE-1 for fun.

Hello Anson, this is another nice one. I have to differ with you on the flare. I am partial to a bit of that now and again. The photograph has a sublte pastel-like quality. The hints of green and purple imitating a rainbow in the upper right hand side is very subtle and adds greatly to the image.

Thanks again Anson. I was sort of reaching for that ethereal quality you hit spot on in your Florida Cracker Farm shot. I did not want to mimic exactly, just emulate a bit. Lovely work!

Thanks Robbie, I am using a 760nm filter that I purchased on ebay. I was thinking the same thought about the polariser.....I have to get a 77mm one. Your shots are beautiful.

Very nice catch Rick. That is an already fine photo given that extra "ethereality" that NIR provides.

Thank you for your comment James. I plan on doing some color / infrared combinations. Splitting the channels then recombining for different color output. thanks again

I love the color on this one. So creamy smooth and the depth of field nicely deposits the extraneous bits out of contention. I like it!

Hello Anson, thanks for the comment. I am an old house freak for sure. Living in Lafayette in the "Hysterical" District has me surrounded by the old houses. I shot the photo in RAW and used ACR to set the white balance. I then opened in Photoshop did the channel swap, added a hue/sat later and messed with the curves a bit. I am attaching the original shot. It was kinda busy, but I wanted to post something as I had not in many moons.

Thanks again

The angle of the foreground makes an interesting contrast to the level horizon. The lovely warm light tells of a trip to the field late in the day. (Or a nice grasp of adjusting white balance) Either way, it works! Beautiful photograph Chandru.

Thanks Jacob,
I am working on a method to "digify" some of my earlier film work without resorting to the purchase of a film scanner. Perhaps I will break down and get one of the Epsons that can handle 120 film. I love both my D70 and D2H but they are not the same as film.

Very nice tones on this one Marta, it looks at though her shoulder is a little more in focus that her eyes. She is a beautiful model and your lighting showcases her shape. Good work
