Martin, where has "big personality" gone? It is the most delightful Children's portrait I have seen in a long long time. I just spent 10 minutes writing why I think it is in a league of its own compared to this gorgeous shot, and its gone. I hope its coming back! Cathy

Excellent DOF in blurring out the tree. The focus is totally on April and perfect. The lighting is superb with the light shinning on the top of her head and her hair to the right. I'm amazed that there is absolutely no lighting on her face from the sun. Her joyful expression captures the energy of this beautiful child. Well done. 7+!

Unusual angle Martin, nice use of aperture & shutterspeed to keep the stone sharp, but slow enough to create the soft effect of the water.

Oh my - he's is just beautiful. Love those crystal blue eyes. Beatiful facial features.
The natual light is perfect.
I'm not sure what you did with all the PS work - maybe you can post the orginal too. I like the softness of the image, but not sure if it may a bit to much near the right side by his ear.
I find myself turning my laptop to see the image in the portrait setting. Maybe a more natural pose where he is looking towards you on his side.
Nevertheless, he's a beautiful baby and you and your wife are truly blessed. Look forward to seeing more images of him as he grows up here for us on usefilm.

Oh baby, he's a cutie! I do like the effects you added on this in PS, it's looks cool! Are those his natural color eyes, just enhanced a bit, or are his eyes really like brown or something? Either way though, I love the bright lighting, coloring, and softness... it is very cute and sets the pure, soft, innocent tone very well! Excellent work with this one, and congrats on your new baby!
