An original and well produced piece.. sometimes others mistakes can allow us to profit, it is a shame about the other photos destroyed though. Awesome work!

gorgeous, the black and white tones (but with the tinge of green moss) really make this shot stand out!

A great motion capture Mervo, and the post production work looks great. What was the original like? I always like to see the before and afters, especially with something like this. It looks like the floor has been texturized, so your panning work is great, well done!

I have a collection of these shots from this afternoon, but only one where I deliberatly waited for this fella to get where he was.. it paid off, plus I love this new camera, it does such a great job. Thankyou my friend

I will scratch yours if you scratch mine, and might I say I don't blame him for looking away from the more immidiate subject matter... Great expression and fine detail Ron!

A case of seeing double, and the detail is definitely in the small (fine) print... very creative and unique, I wonder how you happened to come up with this approach, it is remarkable.

Wow, that reminds me of the characters being on board the Nautilus, Nemo's sub on the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. It gives me that marine perspective.

subtle aren't they? not! they like to make eye contact too, just to make sure that you know that they know that if there is anything that you know that you don't want, then it should be conveniently set aside to be cleaned up..

ok, so they have landed. Are they friendly? where can we meet them? when did they take you?? This is awesome, so close and personal and alive, this is a flat image I take it, but I love the way the brown background fades to really present a powerful face. Textures are well captured.
Thoughtful, confident in its knowledge (I was given that by someone looking on just then), powerful and beautiful, yet unthreatening.

Beautiful lines and detail in this mans face Reza, well lit and great DOF. I like the way you have told the story with the three photos, getting closer with each one and concentrating on the mans character. Great work!

you can always tell a zoo shot, but this has been captured very well, nice tight control here John, I love the power that they naturally portray.

where are the strings? what did you do to the strings? What line do you use to be so thin?? he he he Great "stilled" action shot. Even the reflection doesn't get in the way, great framing!

Great macro, now if this had been followed around for a while and/or given some feed to prey on, the image would have been superb! Love the camouflage detail!

You were the oficial evidence photographer for the CSI Rob? I would have said a great moment captured, and purely photographically it is, I hope she didn't spend too long in hospital though!

I wonder what the inspiration behind this image is. I like the exposure caught on the bird, Personally, I am trying to figure out if the light source with the added flares help tell the story of the image. were any of the flares already there? I would have tried to aim for the flares to be around the bird perhaps, in line with your title, If they weren't there, I do like the fact they are believable though perhaps a bit too round, I have found my flares aren't quite that round (and I try to get rid of these, so well done for bucking the trend, as they say in photography, the rules are there for breaking.

Wow Alice, it has been a while since I checked your site, such a great array of photos! I was checking a comment when I found yours regarding my goanna pic, I don't know if I responded to it before, but yes I did have the original D*ist. it seems you are a fellow pentax enthusiast. I just bought the new k10D and am very happy with it. Very. As a zoologist are you on different programs to get to all of these places (I am thinking specifically Antarctica)

Absolutley Evelyn, this is stunning. Where was the light source for this? and what did you ISO equivalent did you shoot at? Is that a light underneath shining up? Now I think I understand why I got disoriented.

It is hard to Critique this, as I would love to take a photo like this. The lighting is right, the tones, shadow and texture of the skin are not lost in that bright light source, and you have captured great texture thanks to the angle you have chosen to shoot. Great Eye Robert!

Hi mahmoud, I met bloom in Denmark, this guy is lucky enough to travel to the places in the world where the animals can be found, though are endangered, and he spends about two weeks there or until he gets the shots that he wants.. you are right, they are incredible, hoping to do the same
