This is very nicely done! The composition and lighting is perfect! I take it this is done in your new studio?

I am getting our new apartment setup soon and am thinking about purchasing indoor lighting as well. What is a good kit to start with for a new learner?

Great exposure to get the effect! I imagine it was great patience that got you the shot. Congrats.

I like your porfolio. Your photos seem very snap shottish and have a very personal/imtimate style to it, each representing a special moment in your life. Thanks for sharing.

This is very interesting composition. You are very observant. For the camera shake, may I suggest to use a bean bag? You can lean it over the rail and it works as good as a tripod. Even when I use a tripod now, I just put the bean bag over the tripod and camera on the bag. It works well for shots up to 4 seconds. Haven't tried anything longer than that cos my D70 doesn't do long exposure well (noise).

Wonderful scenery!

I have some questions to ask about your journey. We have been talking about going to Guangxi a lot but never made it. When you were there, was it easy to navigate between locations? Was accomodation in-expensive? Place tourist friendly?

Thanks in advance.

A fiery image you have here! Love the way you handled the background and the lighting on the petals. The only thing I would say is that I wish the anther to be in focus.

Did you do this with natural lighting or lamps?

You got a majestic looking image here. Congrats! The inclination of the wall seems to slightly lead out of the image, but then maybe it is just me. Very beautiful image nonetheless. Congrats!

Ummm I am not sure which photo you are comparing to. But I really like the interaction between the rock, water and the wave washed sand. It may just be me, but the washed out sky throws me off just slightly. Very nice photo nonetheless.

This looks like a bridge that revealed itself to take you to a mystical place, and is very far from boring. I only wish the crop is a little looser so I can see the full curve of the rocks. (maybe it was not possible?)

Don't know how you got it but the result is very successful! I am drawn to study every bird in the image and the overall composition flows across very well. Congrats!

I am not sure which photo you are comparing this one to but I think it is very good.

You have great eyes to see an image out of this reflection! The photo is already amazing but I got a suggestion for fun: the gold has such a large contrast against the background that you could slow the shutter to let it "paint" its own composition.

Question about all of your photos: have you thought about making sculptures out of these, and install them with light boxes?

This is a clever shot. But the red bricks are stealing attention from the subject. May I suggest to re-visit at a different time to balance the two?

Nice composition. I like the curves of your body, in photographic sense I mean. Took me a minute to figure out what it is.

I am writing mainly cos I saw you asking about the Nikon D70. I got one myself since 8 months ago and have been shooting more photos ever since. I would say, for the one out of ten photos I get out of my Nikon Coolpix 4500, I only need to shoot once with the D70, because I have more control over the exposure.

If you have not been using an SLR previously, there may be a bit of a learning curve tho once you learn the control, it is a great tool for making photos.

I would recommend this camera over the Canon, as it is the only camera other than the Olympus that has sensor dust control. Olympus actually uses ultrasonics to shake dust specks off the sensor while Nikon uses software to take out dusts. (You will have to get Nikon Capture.)

I would also suggest you to get better lens than the 18~70mm that comes in the package. One thing to note tho, is that the camera weighs a lot and hurts my back after an afternoon of wandering. (Tho I am in bad shape)

Anymore questions, write me at float@netvigator.com. I had a lot of trouble choosing camera cos it was difficult to find information and I wish you don't have to do the same.

A spectacular photo! Love the texture/smoothness of the reflection on the water. I am a bit undecided on the composition...wish the brick wall could be excluded, like your other one.

Whoa very atmospheric. I find the two trucks on the left and right a bit distracting but the ambience is great otherwise.

This is my favorite in your porfolio. It is almost surreally calm. What is the bamboo structure over the boat?
