A nice slice of life photo. She doesn't seem to be very happy, but it makes a nice portrait. I think it would be even better if you cropped off the right side and just included the two doors.

An interesting action photo! The main problem with it is that the white balance is incorrect making the snow blue rather than white.. Since you shot on Raw, this will be easy to correct. If the skier were larger in the image, it would make it more interesting in my opinion.

The picture is reasonably sharp and well exposed. The colors are so mute that I wonder if it would look better in B+W. The background clutter is the main problem here, you might try some other shooting angles to minimize the distractions. By the way, it's an F80 Shooting Star.

A nice capture! You have caught the moment of action very well. The focus is sharp the exposure is good across all the performers. The busy background is distracting-but what can you do about it? Using a smaller f stop would probably leave some of the porpoises out of focus too. I you are into Photoshop, try to selectively blur and darken the back ground. It's very good as is but could have been a bit better.

I don't understand this picture. What is it you want to show your vieweres? The object is reasonably sharp and well exposed. The composition by the rule of thirds is ok, but it isn't interesting to me.

A good idea for a photo, but technically flawed. The composition is good and the diagonal of the glasses lead your eye into the image. The main problem is the depth of field. The image would be better if all the image were sharply in focus. The hand would look better if it were sharper and brighter. You should crop off the left side just past the hand, that area is more of a distraction than a help. But it is a good effort, keep trying!

To me, the attached picture is better. However, there is a certain charm to the original.

Make this a vertical composition and it would be perfect. The light, color and exposure are perfect, there is just too much open space on the left.

Really neat photo. The technical aspects are perfect, but it just doesn't look real. That said, It's a very impressive piece of art.

This photo has good focus, good exposure, and nice color. Like you use of the diagonal here also. I would crop some off the top and force the viewers eye to concentrate on the subject.

Nice photo. I like the warm light and the minimal DOF. Gives it a dreamy quality. My personal preference would be to crop off that blank green area on the left. It just doesn't add anything.

Very nice! The sharpness, exposure and composition are all perfect. The dew and soft lighting make it e something special.

Thanks for looking Dave. This is not my usual type of image. Got to try new stuff sometime to keep a fresh outlook.

Very nice portrait. Lovely model, good lighting and nice skin tones. One little detail, the centered position of the catch lights in the eyes. This is not considered as pleasing as off center highlights. Many portrait photographers feel that the centered hightlights give a vacant look to the subject. It is a very nice photo-- thanks for sharing.

Interesting photo. The image is sharp, well exposed and nicely composed. The main problem is all the clutter in the background-very distracting. Perhaps selective focus with a more shallow depth of ield would help.

A nice portrait, it suffers from the harsh flash lighting and the resulting shadows. The composition is good as is the exposure. In my mind, anyone who loves dogs is a beautiful person. Thanks for sharing.

Ryan, This is an interesting and exciting image. I like the vapor trails which add a feeling of speed. The exposure is ok, but the lighting appears to be harsh with a few spots where the highlights are "blown out" and featureless. I think you could crop a little off the bottom and the left to avoid having a centered composition. The image does not appear very sharp to me, and this is a major flaw. I enjoyed this photo and I know well how hard it is to get a decent shot at an air show.

Debra, Thank you for your comments. Actually, the 200mm is equal in magnification on a D80 to 300mm lens on a film camera. And I was lucky to have a place to get close.

Janet, Thank you. Photographing white birds in Florida is always a gamble because of the harsh light.
