this is a leopard and you should consider yourself very lucky because very few people get to see leopards.

Cool! It's a very good perspective and I definitely like the colours of the sky. I've never seen the Pacific but it seems worthwhile.
Cheers,
Ana

When you stop and look at this photograph, it does look a lot like some of the old Roman buildings, particularly some of those in Turkey and in Spain. Too bad you ran out of Reala... it has become my favorite color negative film.

Lido...remind me not to dare you to do anything again.

Great shot. Nice and sharp and nice colour.

Using the mirror lock-up was a real brilliant move. It takes away the vibration caused by the mirror movement. Very well done. I know you couldn't help the branch blocking her eye. This time your focus seems really sharp. Her cub looks like it is crying.

Lido, I can understand your self criticisms but under the circumstances with all eyes on you I would be happy to have any photo of these massive creatures in their element at all. I can just see you pressing the shutter button then running for the hills as fast your legs could carry you. I know I would.

Considering the subject and how all their eyes are upon you I would say well done and encourage you to go back and have another shot at that photo. NO....I would have to dare you to go back and take that shot again. Next week I hope to see lions in your portfolio.

Good composition, but you are right about the focus. A long lens can be difficult to focus, especially with a teleconverter. A tripod really helps, as does a sand bag. A faster shutter speed can help. If you have a split image in your view finder you may have to adjust youe eye to see it right. Keep up the good work.

I would shoot many times, but I only have 5 or 6 exposure left on roll and no more rolls.

Pretty good Lido. I didn't know you were shooting people now. You are so right about the the hair. It does have an attracting nature to it. However, your focus seems to be a bit soft. Maybe this was due to the scanner. I've often seen this happen with scanned negatives. I also note that you've moved up in the type of film you use. I think that if I were in your place, I would shoot this woman many times to try and capture her face when the wind didn't blow her hair and hide her features. But, if you have to get the shot now, you get what you get. Very well done overall. Nice to see you back.
