Since you ask for what the thinking is of your work I tell you :) The left part it's really great why? Because visually the house and the parallel little trees are looking far more visually united! The right part of the lifted rail seems uneven can say its ok but the bulky shadows of the trees had unbalance the over all perspective!
(a)You can go back and take it again...(b)Or you can resize the right shadows...Try it:):)

Hey thanks for showing me this, its great Ashley, I didn’t know you liked photography and i was surprised to find out from Tiffany that you were on the same site as me. I tried my own still life so check it out ok. This is a brilliant piece, the lighting on the glasses is wonderful and the luminance of the flower stands out against the black background, you will have to tell me how you did your background. Beautiful concept and very nice capture. The rest of your portfolio is great by the way, I’m proud of you.

Thank you dear Shirley for your help and honesty in your critique. I do see where you are talking about with the highlights and I think the way I edited it didn't help much. I used an ambience filter so that the water would glow, which may have caused it to look overexposed. Thank you again for your honesty. Best wishes,

Dear Ashley, it is a beautiful scene, and you've got the lovely milky look to the water, but the highlights are blown out in some areas, while the darker areas are still a little too dark. The best solution for this is to use a tripod and take two separate photos, being very careful not to move the camera or tripod, and make one exposure for the highlights, and one for the shadows, then combine them in your software later.
