Kelly, I think this is one of your best pictures to date. That's not to say your others are bad of course, just that this one is better!
The composition is excellent. You got the hands and the scooter just so. No extra bits.

Adorable, Kelly. Fine portrait, flattering lighting, nice catchlights. Eric pointed out the foot, and I'm thinking a little more light on her hair, but hey, for out-of-studio, this is marvelous. All your hard work is paying off. Good job. Keep improving!

Kelly,
She is cute but needs some light on her face. If you don't want to use flash then make yourself a homemade reflector. Go to a art store and buy a peice of foam board(any size you wish). then get a peice of silver and also gold mirror like paper. Glue that to the foam board and now you have a reflector that you can use to brighten up the model.

What a cutie!
This looks pretty darn good kelly! One nit pick, her cut off foot... but even so, it's really good!
The lighting is good, the flash in the eye is lively, the model adorable. :-)

Kelly, have you considered cropping a little closer in Photoshop or Paint to concentrate on your subject? This was done in Microsoft Paint.
Please forgive me if messing with your picture offends you. It was not my intent.

The scan looks much better than in the past. The technical side is also improved, in my opinion. My eyes keep going to the hand of the girl on the right which is sort of overpowering the girl on the left. Maybe the arm around the other girl would've worked better? Not sure.

Hi Kelly, this is a nice try, but several things could improve this photograph still. The cropping: you have a large dead space on top, above the model, which is useless, not adding anything to the picture, on the other hand, you cut off part of the feet, and a piece of her hand. Further, the reflection of the flash in her glasses is making her eyes almost dissapear, or at least very unclear. She is also pinching (if that is correct, english is not my mother-tongue) her eyes, which is not good of course. Her overall facial expression is not that of a happy model, mostly due to the light of the flash I think (the pinching again). Another thing that might improve the photograph (not sure about that one) is the use of a longer focal length, this way the background would be more blurred, and thus less distracting. The little wound on the lips of the model is also a bit distracting and not very flattering for the model, another pose might have helped here. I hope you are not offended by these guidelines, but see them exactly as they are meant to be, guidelines, nothing more, nothing less, use it to learn, same way as I do, since I still have to learn alot...
