Great atmosphere. The lamppost adds to the composition.

Graphic quality is excellent and the color tones and textures are very pleasing.

Hi John! Looks taken out of a Museum exhibition. It's great that old Crete is still alive and you do a good job to document it.

I like the colour and clarity on this shot. Thank you for your comment on my "negative" ;-)

Hi John! This is channel mixer (monochrom) to transform a colored photo in BW. Then separate channel mixers for the sky (was coming out uniformly black otherwise) and the rest with boosting overall luminosity and reducing red (mostly) and green and blue (less) channels. After much experimentation I got the contrast that IMO optimised the image. Finally a bath in Neatimage to clean thick grain on the sky.

Hi John. It must have been one of these sudden storms in Crete where the cloud descends to earth to be followed by heavy rain. The crane is a bit out of place in the composition IMHO and some detail loss may have occured.

The image powerfully evokes feelings of hard working rural mother. The colours and local dress code give a journalistic/historical perspective and it would be nice to know from which ethnic group or country this image comes from.

Colours are lovely indeed. I am not sure about the halo around the sun and the dark masses of land on the sides. They probably occupy a lot of space.

Interesting composition. It may be oversaturated, slightly overexposed; I am not sure whether the focal point on her forehead works or distracts. Good job in meshing layers.

Good idea but it is quite dark and lacks detail.

Interesting and unusual composition with the ship occupying the top third of the image to allow for the reflection presentation. The ship itself is slightly dark and looks "planted" in the concrete of the docks. Regards, V

Would be a great shot if you rotated it 1-2 degrees CW before submiting it.

Lovely color of both sky and walls - great atmosphere. Would probably have cropped most of the foreground and the people who IMHO don't add much to the appeal of the image. Nice shot Yianni.

Good use of DOF to capture all three of them with good detail. Perhaps too tightly cropped at the top.
