An arresting perspective. Maybe the highlight area on the lower left could be toned down a tad?

Great shot, Danny! Amazing to see horses pulling a plough nowadays. I presume this was some kind of old time demonstration or other?

Sorry to hear of your sad event. This picture is clearly very personal and it would be trite to suggest improvements.

It's a pity that the sharpness falls off significantly towards the bottom.

Good grief! What are all those horses and riders doing on the beach? Looks like a still from a movie.

Brilliant shot, Larry. Has convinced me to highttail it down to Waterford one of these nights to try and recapture this scene. Taken from the grounds of the hotel I presume? It will certainly be a terrific vantage point for the tall ships event.

Thanks Shane. Yep, got myself a spanking new 20D! Was gonna get a 350D but then decided, what the hell, go the whole hog. Decision helped by very attractive price on www.technikdirekt.de. Am "roadtesting" it at present, hence a quick trip to Gougane Barra on Sat. Regards, John

Good treatment of a much photographed scene. I bet the typical happy snapper wouldn't dream of including the road sign but it is the very element that gives "oomph" to the photo.

Thanks for the suggestion, Petal. I contemplated posting the image without the horizon line on top but in the end decided to leave it in. Still, looking at it again maybe I should have left it out. Or maybe not. (I used to be undecided..now I'm not so sure:-))

Intersting alternative to the usual hackneyed shot of the Rock of Cashel. I like the perspective.

Nice image. The only suggestion I would make is to lighten the sand. I think it's too dark.

Nice one, but I think you should have cropped it just above the railings so as to eliminate the street scene. Very good reflection though.
