I don't like baseball, but man this is a great picture. I love the way you have captured his contortionist act to throw the ball. You've captured the feel of his concentration with a razor sharp focus. The sharpness of the picture almost separates his head apart from the rest of his body.

I actually like the way he seems to emerge from the background. It makes it interesting rather than just another body shot.

THe lighting is nice, but the background looks a little fake.

Your lighting is ample, but a little harsh. I think the background is way too busy for the image, but what a great model. Posed well too. I think you should have cropped a little tighter too.

I can't recognize the pitcher (I know it ain't Pedro) but it sure looks like he's about to toss a slider. This is actually a great shot to show why slider-ballers have a higher tendency to blow out their arms. Just look at that extension on the shoulder! I like the moment you caught here. I think a bit of playing with the contrast might help some of the hot spots in the image. But definitely a great capture.

Question:
Would it have been possible to include his feet? I've worked a modeling convention, so I understand the difficulties in these shots. But unless there is a better reason, I think his feet need to be there.

The pitch looks a little high - would guess a strike, foul or ground ball... Good timing, catching ball in frame, but from your vantage point I'd rather see a lefty hitter, so his face is visible.

This is a great action shot. Having the ball in the shot really makes it! The players seem to be a bit over exposed, especially the batter.
