It looks very...surreal.

I really like this photo! The bright green tree with the bright blue sky makes great contrast and the sun adds flavor. On a side note, you made a comment that 'all I have is a digital camera'. Well, digital cameras can take some awesome photos under the right circumstances. I would highly recommend looking into PS=type programs, they can help make a half-decent photo into something that you really like. Now, I may not be the best example of this, but almost all of my photos are with a digital camera. So, keep that in mind and keep shooting!

You've managed to do it, take a cat picture that I actually like. Good job.

I think some enhancing the brightness in the lower part of the photo would really bring out a lot of missed detail while still conveying the sense of foreboding you were going for with the clouds.

I really like the contrast between the dome and the blue sky. Nice shot.

Well Rachelle, I like what you've done with this one. However, if you don't mind a little family critique, I think having the fence and part of the grass sharpened while leaving the area leading to the barn somewhat blurry is distracting. Also, lightening the interior part of the barn up a little might be a good idea. Maybe not.

I'm not sure about this one. The shadows around her face throw me off and the way her outstreched hand seems gruesomely long, this one is somewhat frightening actually.

I think a little more focus in the mountains in back would be great, but a nice photo as is anyway.

All the light on the left with blackness on the right makes the keys look washed out. Maybe a little less light and a little more contrast.

I like the photo, but my comment is on the title, how can it be checkmate when the game has only just begun?

The portion of the bench that is sharp really drwas the eye, but there is nothing to keep it there. Perhaps something on the bench or something would have helped.

It would really be nice if this were sharper.
