This is a good capture of some interesting weather, and the balance of areas in the image, between loch/land, and sky, and the lighting, are perfect.

I found myself frustrated, though, at the relative position of the island, wanting the highest area to positioned in the 'gap', and for clear water all around it, visually separate from the left landmass. I reckon it would have been a real classic then.

Nice work, though, you've a good eye for pictorial possibilities!

A great sense of mystery surrounds the ruined abbey. (Pun intentional.)

Actually a nice shot from my perspective. Makes you think. Could you do more like this with different angles to the monuments? B & W would be nice as well.

Thanks for your comment. I haven't seen citisen kane, and have no clue what you mean. I would like to know why you don't like it, and what you think can be improved.

The perspective rendition and the colors are already very good, but the clock adds just a touch of surrealism and quite a bit of interest, too.

LITTLE home???????????lol! you have taken this from a nice angle-it is certainly an unusual mixture of architectures...almost designed by someone with a bit of megalomania, wanting to be...but not quite managing!!!!!!!!

nice soft light and great sky-verticals not so vertical...I wonder how many more of this type of monument will have to be built in the future?mrs mac

I love castles - this looks like a good one to spend hours taking pix at - which one is it? Good historical perspective idea!

Now for the nitpicking. The overall picture is quite dark, the verticals arent quite vertical, and I'm not sure I like the way the base of the memorial j-u-s-t crosses over the tower.

Keep shooting!

Steam is burnt out, whilst the loco is well exposed, but composition could do with some work.
