Nicely composed and pretty girl. Some of her looking at the camera might also be an idea, but this is still very nice.

You're not supposed to be perfect when you come on this site. That is why people are here. I think people should try to remember that. Andrew is here to learn or he wouldn't post his photos. Critiques are well advised, but not talking down to a person. At least I don't think so. Not that he was talked down to...it just seems like a little patience is needed here with this photo. And yes, the guy should be cropped out.

Focus seems a little off -- in more ways than one -- no! Just kidding. Sorry. Not a time for jokes. Seriously, I think this is a great journalism shot. Nice capture of a historical event. I've been taking my own lately.

Cool idea, but I would love to see more of the column. Gosh I think I just said this about your other photo -- am I annoying or what? YOur work is very cool, I don't mean that. guess I am just weird (I like to see it all! :-) I love the way the white and the blue contrast. It is a very cool shot.

Very interesting prespective on this one. I would like to see even more of the dock, what do you think?

Of all your plane photos I think this is one of the best. The other plane photo with the wing clipped a little is still a good one, but I like the path of this one and the way it off the ground and the way it fits in the film. NIce shots.

Well, this is a good shot. Let me look at the other one and decide which I like best and get back to you. This is cool though.

Really lovely idea for a photo and nice comp, but it seems a little blurred and she seems a little red. Could it be the scan? She still has a great smile and it is a great capture!

This is such a cute photo! Was it taken in black and white film or transferred? It would be good to see in color too if it was also taken in color.

Very interesting photo. I like the way the camera is panned up. I also like the blue sky. A little more of the tower in view would have also been nice.

Great photo, but it could be cropped closer around the little girl and puppy so that the focus is more on them than the green around them. Still, the lighting is lovely and so are the subjects! Do you have any of the little one smiling?

Comments on this are much appreciated so thank you. This is one of my first attempts at night photography so it helps to know how it looks to others....

Agree that the work is nice...I wonder if you have any of her smiling though? But maybe the point of the shoot was to make her look a little stoic, so maybe smiling wouldn't be good :-) ? Not sure though. It was just an idea. I love the lighting

It is a little soft, which is probably because of the scanner, like you said. I like the photo, though. She kind of looks like I feel these days. Nice shot. I like the use of black and white. It fits the mood.

Beautiful comp and feeling. I'm just an amatuer and may not know enough about photography, but I love this photo.

I've rethought (if that is a word) my earlier comment on this photo. Actually the grainy look of it is kind of artistic. I think I like it more than I thought I did. I'm sorry I judged it harshly. I just had to look at it again. Nice work. Is it the film speed that causes this grainy look or is that done someother way?

I like the photo, but I think it is a little too grainy for my taste. Still she has a really nice smile.

I love this shot. The way the people are in teh foreground looking on is just magnificent. What a great moment to capture and remember. Really beautiful work.

This is a neat shot. I think it is kind of hard to tell what we are looking at, but then as you look at it more you can tell it is the geese coming back for spring and summer! Nice idea and capture! -- Renee

Wow, really nice close up if that is really how tiny the flower is! THey are beautiful and I would love to also see them in color sometime. Nice shot and I like how you are looking up at them.

I love the purple tone here. Beautiful comp as well. Was a filter used for this out of curiousity?

I really like the lines here and the position for the shot. I think you did a nice job with the photo. I also like the black and white.

Beautiful photo! What a cutie! Can't tell you how to improve I'm afraid. Maybe an expert could, but I really like the shot overall. Just a classic baby expression!

I wish he wasn't cropped where he was, but I still like his expression and the photo overall. I agree that the thumbnail doesn't do it justice. Nice catch! (no pun intended!) :-)

The look of awe on the kids face is amazing. The way sweat is pouring off Jan is really neat too. NOt sure where this was taken but it must have been somewhere where he was practicing or working out. Nice shot.
