Beautiful hibiscus and lighting. I think your image would be stronger with a greater depth of field. As is the main area that is in focus is the center of the flower (stamen and pistols). I personally would love to see the shading and detail in the petals. The two leaves blocking the the view of the flower are a bit distracting as well. As for your digital file the contrast looked good, but the levels had room for adjustment removing a bit of the washed out look from your image. Great try. I always have a difficult time with floral shots myself.

Great photograph and idea. One thing i can see making it better would be to make the flash pop off right before the shutter closes insted of right when it opens. This would cause a blur behind the subjects creating a better direction of movement. Great job though none the less!

very cool. Enough exposure to get light on the film, as well as create a blur of everything in motion.. but not so much so as to capture those sitting still without blur. Did you ask them to stay still ? That guy in the foreground talking to the girl - what if he had waved or raised his hands while talking ? good job.

The Alhambra is a great place. I was so unlucky to have rain all day I was there...
I like your shot more than mine! Good work!

The range of blue colors is very nice and the lights make an interesting contrast. I think it's a pity the quality of the scan and jpeg compression doesn't allow your photo to be at its best. I would scan it again.

Jy, you are new to this site as I'm. Can I ask you a really personla question? The reson for this is that, not log ago, I stnd up for one of JT works in other side and the resul was very sad. He was bahished, I lost many points and so did everybody ho posted a fine critic on his image. But, I don't even know if it is the same man we were talking about. Back to the pciture: a time for peace and calm. Very good. Marilia
