Always room for a Chinese Crested hairless. I have one as well. By the way that is how the hair grows for the most part this dog was most likely not shaved. They fetch a hefty price if they have papers. 1000-3000 dollars.
Good Capture.

Thank you very much David. I appreciate your comment. I do not use much editing software, but that is the only way I can get a black and white shooting in manual mode with my camera. Thank you for suggesting the channel mixer. I will keep that in mind. Thank you for your time.

Intresting perspective. I love the Clarity of this picture. The Black and white just sets it off.
Hope to be able to get shots like this with my Son when he Grows.
Thank you for the comment on his shot.

Very Strong composition. You have done well here. What was your light source. In the picture with the Dog I believe you used natural light. Did you do the same here? Nice soft touch. I am new to some of these technigues. Recently fell in love with Neat Image and Picasa2.

Thank you for your comment on my Sons portrait. If you look at my Portfolio you will notice that I am new to portraits and I am trying to get away from the Still Life Special Effect Shots. Once again thank you for your time and your comments. I did notice that you like to shoot Candids in your portfolio.
Have a Great Night and Keep shooting.

Sarah,
Thank you so much for your comment on my photo, "Lucas First Christmas" I used an AleinBee 400 photostrobe with a 3x4 foot softbox attached. Light was set at 1/32th of full power. Light was positioned about 2 feet above the subject. Highly recommend anything built by Paul Buff. AB or Whitelighting.
If you would like to talk a little more in depth in real time. I am here right now.

Melanie, time is very critical here. I have been hesitant to shoot anymore pictures of Little Lucas due to that fact that he is not able to hold his head up as of yet. I actaully planned on taking some shots of him today so there will be some downloads tonight I am sure of it.
Thank you so much for asking.

Not bad at all, I notice there is a small haylo around the subject, Is that from lighting or post processing. Just curious how the lighting is so tight around the Body (Backlight haylo)

Very nice. You did what Chuck Lewis always says in his Videos. Keep the Main Light off the background and control the skew rays. I think the lighting on the subject is a little flat but I really like the way you lit the background. It really does stand out.

I agree,
This is absolutely amazing about the history of this poor country. If I am not mistaken the odds are 1 in 3 Cambodians are killed or maimed by landmines. That is just unbelievable.
Good capture. It struck my heart.

I think the lighting serves this shot very well. You did well managing the Focus. All important points are in focus with a slight drop in focus on the hair in Back which is just fine in my oppinion. No visible sclera under or above each eye which would lead me to believe you know very well what you are doing and also how to achieve what you want in your photography. Regarding your lighting. I see a large light that seems to be round to some extent. Was this a shoot through umbrella or an octabox? Only reason why I ask is I have tried this type of shot before and have failed. Well Cheers. It is time for me to get started on my New Baby Portfolio. Thanks for your time.
