Day has gone, and you were on the journey. guess this is the reason of no looking back? good observation. sometimes its no harm to look back just to learn a lesson for a better future. dont u think so jackie

I don't think that anyone wants to admit that fall is over and winter is coming...... but that is what your photo says to me.

Very creative - well done! I love the reflection of the sunset in the window.

Excellent, Jackie! And what a creative way to show it.
Marleen, it reads "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear", every US car has it sketched lightly in the mirror.

The perfect reason to look back. I can't read what it says in the mirror and that bothers me. I'm so curious.

Thank you very much for your comments. I appreciate people taking time out to help me along with my photography.
As for the rating system - it only takes one rotten apple to spoil the bunch. I think encouraging responsible use of it will weed out the problem raters.

Jackie--I like this composition a lot. You have a good eye. The low rating is absurd!

Yes I think Petra is right. This is more than the thumbnail would suggest. The use of DOF is good, it makes the subject come forward from its background. The twigs are fun as they twirl their way from left to right as if they were playing. The end of one of the twigs is slightly out of the DOF though. I think it's a rather good winter photo. Simple but not boring. (IMO)

Hmm, I get the feeling someone is going around and purposely giving zero and one ratings, because rating this a zero is ridiculous!
I think this is a very unique picture, Jackie. Well in focus and the snow adds a nice touch. Well found and executed!

It's an interesting shot. I don't know how much space you had to work with, but it might benefit from being more off-center. You could crop to achieve the same effect.

Don't know Koen. I like the centre composition of the buckles. The positioning and texture of the yellow belts does the rest.
Jackie, maybe a slightly different hue of blue background or a totally different background colour may make a positive change?

I was completely torn on which of the two I should post. The wider shot really showed the contrast between this berry and the rest of its world. But, the closeup is my favorite, too.
Thanks for all the positive feedback!

Jackie, your closeups are NOT getting redundant. I'm especially taken with the cropped version of this one, although the original is cool. Normally Rule of Thirds makes a picture more dynamic, but you've got so much interesting lines going here, it's dynamic enough. Good job.

I love the colors, the concept... and I agree ... I love your attachment more.. it is more focused on the fruit... the DOF is helping ot isolate the red from the beautiful tone background... and love also the reflections.... good shot

good work Jackie - wonderful dof used to help the red berry jump out at us - good eye. I might even try to play around with a few crops of this as well - good as is, but would be worth experimenting with and see what you find.

Hi Jackie...like this very much! Only thing i am wondering is...if you used a polarizer on this one the sheen thats on the leaves in the background and some on the main leaf may have disappeared and given the leaves an even richer color throughout the whole image. Just a picky comment but worth a try next time.

I still like it as is...makes me feel cold so you definitely were successful on this one!...*smile*...Maggie
