What a tender moment you captured. One to cherish for several life-times.

Hi Jenny, Glad to see that you also use a film camera. Nice shot here with the steam developing over the water. Where was this shot taken?

Another great catch, Jenny. Excellent exposure. And, you didn't even disturb his nap.

They are both very good. I lean toward the cropped version. It brings the two main objects up closer and gives a great perspective to their sizes.

Wonderful find, Jenny, and excellent composition. Your subject is so cute the way it is sprawled out with his/her hind legs crossed.
Best wishes from 500 miles down-river,
Jimmy

bonjour Jenny, j'aime bien ta photo mais je me suis permis un léger recadrage (en supprimant le ciel) et, en focalisant la netteté sur le sujet principal.

amicalement, Fred.

I'll choose door #2. Great, fun image. I do like the uncropped image better. K

I'm still uncertain which orientation I prefer; playing with the cropping on this one. Here's the original.

It's more than just the pollution... nature is intruding on the brick with its own idea of growth; the bird has a tag on its leg; these are flood waters coming up a city street; the flood is likely due to trying to dam the Mississippi river instead of letting it go where it pleases, so now it goes up the banks anyway. Nature and "civilization" cannot be separated. We often separate them mentally but we are living on a limited size planet.

A clear, crisp image that clearly illustrates the horrid effects of pollution. A lovely, natural scene ruined by discarded trash. The editorial comment is clear. I would crop off about an inch from the left side of this so the goose (duck?) was removed from the center of the photo and placed on the left side. True, the bird would then be looking out of the frame, a supposed violation of compositional rules, but I think it would work in this case, as though the creature were looking off stage for help. All of this is IMHO, of course:-) I don't mean to co-opt your photo.

Apparently my monitor needed calibrating; attached is an image with a Levels correction that fixes the contrast to what it was meant to be. Gives him a little bit more snap. I may also try shooting this again with more light and thus more depth of field.

Oh, how nice... What wonderful green eyes. This kitty reminds me of the one I pet most nights, a little female who now runs out to greet me and demand a neck rub.

A wonderful photo, Ms. Brown, with a ghost-like atmosphere.
Thank you for you comment on my "From behind 5".
I am not that familiar with photoshop to use the advice you were so kind as to give me, so I do the best I can.

Adorable photo! The lighting and coloring is good for a spur of the moment shot! Is this the same girl in the picture titled "Sisters?" younger? Great shot! Nice job!
