Nice textures and good colour contrasts. However, it needs to be more in focus. Also, I would have liked to have seen the top of the pillar. Nice concept, though.

Halid, I wouldn't call myself an 'authority' :-) In fact, I am really far from this, so all I can do is tell you how I did it, and show you the original, so you can judge for yourself the loss of quality.

I have first converted the color image to grayscale, then to color again, and played with the color levels a bit, to get the desired look. You can achieve similar results by playing with duotone, I suppose.

Great results !
You could possible be a good authority to reply to a question I have just posted in the forum section on converting Colour to B&W. Any chance you coould take a quick peek ?
Thanks
Halid

This was originally a color shot, but I thought it shouldn't be from the moment I've taken it... Solved by PS.

A good picture. Very moody and with a great colour setting. The intermittent lighting constantly keeps drawing my attention "up the road" and makes me wonder what might be hidden in the darker areas. The only thing that I find distracting is maybe this little part of a fence (?) that can be seen in the upper right corner. Cropping the picture just a little bit on this side (or better: eliminating the fence via PS) would probably strengthen its effect enormously.
