You won't find me dragging anything in this river! We saw hundreds of these innocent looking smiling creatures. This was the most evil looking one-stared me right in the eye as it swam directly at us. CC

Thankyou Paul for your kind words. I am happy that you discovered the inverted sunset. That is what excited me most about the shot, it was far more vivid in real life. This trip was an opportunity for me to get in some practice with landscapes, but I always come back to the portraits! Can't help myself. CC

Andre, you are correct, it was a very positive experience, thank you. The accident occurred Sept 11 2001, I was watching the planes hit the towers when the police arrived. Since then I have had many, many messages from my son Nic, quite often through strangers. It was difficult at first, but because the messages are so constant, I feel he is just out of sight but not out of heart. Nic gave his life to save 3 others, how proud could a mum be? I appreciate the time you have taken with your kind reply. CC

Speaking of Stonehenge, my daughter is currently spending 6 months in the UK. Stonehenge is now totally off limits to tourists, such a shame. Her emails have prompted me to go have a look for myself...next Aussie winter. CC

I realise this discussion was commenced many years ago, but I'd like to add my bit... I think there are different types of people-those that find the joy in the details, and those that have the gift of seeing the big picture. Personally I like to get up close to examine the detail,(as in your panda portraits) I find the white area up the top of the uncropped version grabs my attention and gets in the way of me digesting the detail. You have covered both types by presenting both images, and started a stimulating conversation as well. CC
