This is a very striking image. I like the balance and the way it draws you in. CC

Wow, cool image! It is only when you realise that the trees in the foreground are mature trees, that you get a sense of how big this glacier must be. Nice work. CC

Chris, I am so excited! This image represents what I have been immersed in for the past week. I had no idea that glaciers are so explosively loud. There is still a lot of snow in this image, when was it taken?
Our group is in Sun Peaks today. I am getting up early to try and find some bears. It's off to Banff tomorrow. CC

Still love this!
I occasionally check out what you are up to photographically speaking.
I notice you come from Canada.
Hadn't paid attention previously.
Am about to get on a big plane and check out west Canada and a little of Alaska.
Very nervous, very excited.
Finally, a chance to have a go at landscapes.
Might even post shots on Usefilm again, if I master it. CC

Wow Phillip! Icey. A novel view of the ferris wheel. Congrats on this great shot.
Trev and I (and Matt) are finally escaping this island and are summering in Canada and Alaska. I hope I don't wear my camera out.
Was talking to Chris Perrin he has had severed a tendon in his hand repaired, hope his Shutter finger is OK. Am seeing him this weekend, no doubt the conversation will Include the info that you are posting again. Good to see. CC

This is an amazingly clear image. I presume it was taken through thick glass. You did well to create such clarity under those conditions and at such a slow shutter speed. Well done. CC

This is a very strong image, any filters used?
And its at Kamloops, I will be there soon. Starting to get butterflies in my tummy.
You can't beat strong blue, green and white in an image, I think it really connects us with the real world. Nice work. CC

Chris, I just found your reply, 5 months after you wrote it!! Don't know how I missed it.
It's nearly time to tackle the big plane.
Can't wait.
Struggling with the packing, no idea about the weather, your temperature scale is different from ours. We are visiting Jasper, Kamloops, Lake Louise, Victoria Island etc and am fairly confident a t-shirt and light jacket is appropriate.
It's places like Skagway and Juneau that I am unsure of.
Is it cold walking on glaciers? If so-how cold? Thermal underwear cold?? Would appreciate some input. We will be hanging around for the whole month of July. I gather that is summer time? Hope to hear from you. CC

Love the colour of the water, but I especially like the shadows cast by the birds.
We fly out from Sydney June 30. We only get to see the western side of Canada.
We are travelling with a group of about 40 from our local high school. We have never left this island so this is a really big adventure for us. We are sailing the inside passage and taking the glass roofed train across to Lake Louise. Am hoping for some great photo opportunities, assuming I am brave enough to actually get on the plane! From your portfolio it seems you have no qualms travelling around the world. CC

Cool image Chris, just love the framing!
Guess what???
You have so inspired me over the years that we have booked our trip to Canada, mid year.
We only get to see a fraction of the country from boat and train, but it will be our first venture off this island. Bit nervous, but photographically excited. I am hoping to create images worth posting. Happy New Year 2010, hope all is well with your family. CC

Hi Chris, Partly due to the photographs by people such as yourself, my husband and I paid the deposit on a trip to Canada next year. I got sick of photographing pimples and trying to make them look like mountains-thought I might check out what a real mountain feels like, and a glacier or two while they still exist. But its a whole year away-can't wait! CC.
