Thank you all for the nice words. The majority of these boats are for fishing lobsters. Most of the fishermen tools are hand made and the boats have no engines depending only from the wind. The place is magical.

I have seen good photos here in Usefilm that can be destroyed by the choice of a project. Maybe that is the case for the low ratings for this image. Reading the project Characters, it says: "Show us some of the strangest and most unique characters you can find".
Perhaps this is a forum discussion.

You are right Brynne, I would be happier without those car tracks, but this photo could work as a protest against 4-wheel-drive cars which are like a plague where I live. There is no piece of landscape that hasn't being scared by tyres...

For someone that has started this hobby only 2 years ago I think photography was already in your blood.

Thanks for taking your time to view my photos Maggie. I have a tip for you. On your portfolio, add these caracters to your homepage address. http:// The way it is today, if someone clicks on it the link won't work. Many users of Usefilm are getting the same problem. From now on I'll be a regular visitor of your portfolio. Your work is a feast for the eyes!

Thanks for commenting, Bill. Judging by your portfolio you've been travelling all over Brazil. If you do have a chance to visit my area, the state of Ceará, you'll have plenty of opportunities for taking photos along the 600km seashore. My website is dedicated to Ceará's coastline.

I like simple pictures of nature. This stream invites viewers' eyes to follow it into the image.
