great image,though I also like the shots w/o the 81D filter.
Excellent composed shot, the diagonal clouds add are increasing the dynamics.
Very nice toning in the bottom part - guess its easier to say: simply great

Great capture Mike. I am ashamed to admit I had to look up 'groynes' but think we definitely need them here on the Oregon coast .

Wonderful image Mike. The long exposure lends a very calm and relaxing mood to the picture, and the mixture of warm tones in the sky and cool tones from the foreground and sea work very well together. 7+

Hi Chris. Thanks for your thoughts. I did use an ND grad on the sky. The exposure was about 6 seconds. I think that, together with my (not very goog quality) ND grad may have accounted for the slightly soft sky. The aperture was F22 and I hyperfocused to get maximum DOF.
I have got a wider horizontal version in my PF which was taken a bit earlier. The colours are quite different.

This looks good, although I didn't see the first.
It looks like there was either an ND grad or a levels mask done to lighten the foreground/darken the sky?
Perhaps having a bit wider view of the foreground would all the image to breath abit easier, as it is now it seems kind of tight and crowded at the bottom.
The sky looks good although abit soft... maybe deeper DOF if possible?
