OK, Michalis. Here goes...

I don't know if you will see a big different in a thumbnail, but it was basically taking some yellow out of the sky, adding more contrast and lightening up the clouds. The young lady and the sand should come up a little warmer...

Dear Lee,

I would be delighted to see the result of your editing on this , or any other photo of mine. I am happy that you found some interest in my photos and I appreciate your comments.

Regards,
Michalis

My partner and I did a quick work around first selecting the sky with the magnetic lasso and working in selective color, starting with cyan. Then added some contrast and worked in blue and then inversely on the rest of the picture in the red mode.

I thought it was intense before but it is even more saturated with color now. The sky is now the mediterranean blue that I love. And the girl is more suntanned with warmer sand. I would like you to see it, but maybe you just want to try some things of your own first.

Let me know if you want me to attach it. I always ask first.

Your friend, Lee

I happen to like that deep color in the sky, so don't change it on my account. And it adds drama to the photo.

But it is fun to try variations in PS. Maybe you will stumble on something new. I am just starting to use layers and it works well with portraits controlling hot spots and modeling.

Here you could try selective color on blue to lighten the sky and bring in more cyan. Maybe I will try it later.

Have fun, Lee

Leora,
You are right about the use of polarizing filter. I like its effect a lot, especially on shots including sea. Taking the reflection of the sky on the water reveals very nice colour and tones of the sea. However it gives an unreal colour to the sky. Maybe I should have done something about it in photoshop (maybe blending 2 shots, or changing the tones of the sky).

Thanks for the comments,

Regards,
Michalis

Michalis, I love the surreal palette. I can see the wave has just pulled back so the young lady will be at the vortex of the next wave...

I suspected a polarazing filter. I try not to be without it.

Michalis, this looks like the end of a peaceful day with the plump sun hanging in the sky for its last moments. I love the palette from silver to blue to red....

Great image, the most of the times the emptiness of a field get a great emotive result and so here...even it could be the horizon line not so centered...but that is not big deal for sure, excellent shot Michali.
Be well!

...hope also that building could be the future house! :-D lol...
Excellent shot, I like a lot the desaturation you made here, you make the present of the people more strong, and a beautiful couple...
