Beautiful beach view with the loaf tip just pointing to the light as that is your added fingerprint here.
Good use of DOF and not yet forgotten the big Tsunami, still a marvellous place to be.

yeah I agree - the trees do detract the most - this is a by product from the HDR processing and i had will probably de-saturate the greens, however regarding the sea and clouds I only played with the colors a little, which is probably one of the reasons the Maldives is popular - as the location is so amazing.

I've seen tones of HDR night shots - but never one at sunrise - and given you're comment about multiple exposures - I assume that this would fall into the HDR category.

It sure draws your eye to the image. You're immediately pulled in because of the fantastic colors. But unfortunately once I took a closer look at it the colors became to unrealistic - the sea and clouds to a certain extent, but I think the part that bugs me the most is the trees on the right. They're just a tad bit too bright.

But that's just my opinion. Maybe I just need to get used to the HDRs a bit more. Other than that I absolutely love the shot.

Thanks for the comments

Peter - No I used a 12mm wide angle using multiple exposures and blending software for the merge to capture the full range in the sky. I agree tho the fisheye is good for capturing detail in the sky also.
