Wonderful work, so beautiful.
There is a proverb "early rising is 3 yen profit" in Japan. Although 3 yen is about 3 cents...The meaning of this proverb is not the problem of the amount of money... It is the meaning that there are a good thing and a fortunate thing in the early morning.... It is just fortunate that such a beautiful spectacle can be seen.

When you have an MRI, they stick you in a long, close-fitting tube. Here you have an MRI sign - by a long tube. Am I nuts? Also, I think the graininess is fine for this shot.

I know this place. New Mexico. I past by this place one time on one of our escapades with Dominik... I have no interesting photos from there - the Sun was very harsh... Nice.

Hi Steven, gaps between my visits nowadays!!
I am meant to use lots of words...but 'I love it' is all that comes to mind.
This image IS like a painting, a quiet, tranquil one at that.
The original with grains looks fine too, but maybe the grains are too much in full size?

Take my thoughts
and let them flow
on early rising mist
Then spread them
in sun's orange glow
so they will never twist

I'm speechless Steven, such beauty lays in early risings.
Glad you've captured it in time.

Titia

Steven, I recently bought a F100. Can I expect from now on, all my shots will be as nice?
Results like this can only come from getting up early. I like the lefting of the heavy mist and the new golden sky. My guess is using the grad fliter brought out the colour gold?

This looks very religious, almost like the person has had a vision.

Good composition and planning behind this!

Fog can sometimes be an asset in a photo and sometimes it just makes everything murky. I think the key is to have the sun shining through, especially early in the morning -- exactly like this wonderful pic. Unfortunately I will never capture a scene as good as yours because I am not a morning person. If I was able to get up that early I'm sure I wouldn't be awake enough to find my camera, or coherent enough to ask someone to help me -- 2 or 3 coffees later might hold some promise but by then I'm sure I would have missed the light. Nice job.

Steve,
Seven months have passed since you've posted this outstanding picture in Usefilm. Its beauty remains. The quality is timeless.
I'm glad I had the chance to see it.

quite good. The color range is fantastic, and the movement of the water adds a subtle artistic statement about the end of a day...
