as the picture was opening I though you could have cropped below the horizon and had a most satisfing sunset...but the depth that is gained from your vantage point with the inclusion of the log is trmendous...a very serene feel with good detail... and simply beautiful

Lovely sunset, captured very well. The addition of the log adds a nice touch of perspective.

Hello Steven,
I like the desaturated effort very much (though almost a shame having used Provia!). But the result is calming, which suits and fits in with this interior shot.

Very nice ... I like the use of the rocks in the forfront to give balance.. and also the time lapse for the water..

I think it works well. I can see where the foreground could use a little more exposure, but I think it also looks more realistic this way too. The sheeting water is amazing, looks very icey, works well against the warm glow of the sun. Great Job.

Congratualtions on editors choice.

The first thing I thought was "Oh, my God! This is how I want to take photos"

Thank you for sharing. I do see your hesitation with the balance, there is only a slight loss of detail in the rocks, maybe a reflector would have filled in the rocks just enough? Hard to say without actuually being there.
Excellant shot, nontheless.

A truely wonderful shot. Very inviting with a sensual quality that comes as a suprise. Well done. After viewing your portfolio I find you have a sensative eye for composition. Love the Moseleum shot too.

Sincerely,
Megan

i tired shots like this recently..yours turned out 100 times better than mine..i think you were very successful..i especially like the suggestion of waves in the background. This combines well with the controlled blur in the foreground. best regards: kat-

The lack of people seems to emphasize the purpose of the space - empty chair, empty hall, etc.
Very effective shot, the perspective adds impact.

Good composition. The receding lines add a lot of interest, and your exposure seems perfect in a situation where the light must have been hard to read. nice work.
