About: I have enjoyed photography for many years, pretty much since the time I got my 1st camera when I was 10.

My first camera was a little 110 (about '87). Then I got the Canon Sure Shot Telemax (about '94). This is the camera that I used in my 1st B&W class in college (Fall '99). The instructor preferred point-and-shoot, more concentration on the picture not the camera. At the end of the class I got a Nikon N60 (late '99). I used this camera for several years, and during a second B&W class, until I got my N80QD as a graduation present to myself (end of '02). Sometime in '01 I got a camera from my ex's mother, a Mamiya Sekor 1000DLT, it had belonged to her father, who had passed several years earlier. The camera was not 100% functioning, so I got another off EBay and used it for parts. I have yet to put more than 2 rolls of fill through it. I do plan to use it more as I get more free time to learn it's little tricks. In July '05, I purchased a Fujifilm FinePix S5500 because of an up coming trip to Japan. It's not the digital SLR that I would like to have, but it is similar and a lot more compact. In October '05, I purchased a Fujifilm FinePix S5600 because I bought the S5500 in a hurry. The S5600 will be a better camera, and is closer to what I was looking for. I'll sell the S5500.
