Photographer: JoydipSuchandra Kundu (Karma=582)
Kolkata, WestBengal India
About: Joydip was introduced to wildlife by his friend & wife of many years Suchandra. Since then began their journey as a team. They are more than just wildlife photographers – they believe that through their camera they have the power to give vision to unseeing eyes and create awareness about wildlife among those who are indifferent to it.
Joydip & Suchandra, with no formal training in wildlife photography shoots from the instinctive feel of the jungle and an unending love of animals. Together they embark on their various journeys and adventures all over India.
In Kolkata, where they are based they run a business. They see it as a means to fund their freedom to dream – or in this case, shoot wildlife through the lens.
Joydip & Suchandra only photographs wildlife in its natural habitat and is averse to shooting them in captivity. They also strongly condemn photographing wildlife under controlled conditions or by using unfair means. To put it in their own words: As strong believers in Nature we feel no photograph is ever worth sacrificing the wellbeing of the subject!
