What better photo could you have as your personal "intro"? I suggest you upload it as the photo of you to head your portfolio! Kudos for your mother-in-law, too...

That's my Tamron SP 17-35mm 2.8-4 XR Di, tons sharper and faster than the 18-55mm kit lens... however still a bit shy of wide for me. I had to back up a bit to get full body/birds in tight quarters of the feeding area.

I don't mind lorikeets on my shoulder or my head, but the thought of one squirting on my lens would be enough to shoo him instantly.
Man, what's that glass, Andy?

Mischievous lorikeets. They look quite comfprtable there all over you. haha Your camera will never be the same. A great candid moment captured. A nice natural pose and a fun shot for all of us. Great shot.
Cheers - Ann :)

A totally new lens positioning! Rarely the one behind lenses are visible. This could have been a prize winner in the ANIMALS IN DAILY LIFE photocontest organised by UNESCO many years ago.
