Bob, you are right about the photo benefiting from a polarizer. Because the lens filter size is 77 mm., the polarizer is expensive and I have hesitated to make the purchase. I will attach the image run through a polarizing filter in PS. (Some of the quality loss is due to having to use iso 1600.)

Beautiful shot, Eb!
I wonder if a polarizer would have been useful in reducing some of the reflections. Still, a wonderful shot, as-is!

Pat, I liked this shot but had to go to 1600 ASA to pull it off - even with VR on. The colours are good because this is not a native tree to British Columbia. Our colours are not at all vivid compared to those in the east.
