Dave, I'm not sure. We see them pretty often near our camp near the coast. They didn't come back to their nest last year, I think a horned owl took it over but they're back this year at the nest. We were on our way home this afternoon and saw two perched on the top of a tree right next to a busy highway. I hope they stay, I love to watch them! Darlene

Andre, we're seeing lots more of these guys too! We were on our way home this afternoon and there were 2 sitting in a tree on the side of a very busy highway! Guess they feel safe, let's hope they stay that way! Darlene

Putting these eagles against a white background has added another dimension to this image (although that comment now looks rather odd, since in effect the background dimension has been REMOVED... hope you understand what I mean!) AJ

Love that title, and it conjures up so many more fun titles, has made me chuckle. However before I chuckled Darlene I was stunned by this, it is so very very good, I am amazed that the white/no background still shows up their heads so well. It makes a stunning composition Margaret

Very well done, Darlene. I like the lack of any border. Your white background blends well with the usefilm white, giving the illusion of a seamless full view. Do you think these are migrating from the north?

Hi Darlene, I have only ever seen one of these in the wild. This summer I couldn't believe it when one flew overhead while I was out in th kayak. I thought it was a heron and didn't pay much attention to it at first. Apparently they are making a come back in our area at the cottage. Andre
