Before reading the comments on this image I was wondering the same thing Phillip was asking..But my first question was going to be.. Do you develop your own film and then make your own prints using special effects of some sort to get such beautiful contrast.
I have to agree with the others I certainly do enjoy viewing your b&w photography.

James, I'm getting bored of your usually standard perfect exposure great DOF shots. Can you do something say.. a little more.. not so perfect ? :-)
I do have one thing constructive; I know that Joshua Tree is very "busy" but perhaps less DOF on something like this and maintain the tree as the subject ? Just a thought.
